Have you ever seen a feature in a software project and wondered – what were they thinking? How do they expect this to be used?
Us too!
In order to avoid this type of issue, or at least minimize it as much as possible, we have internal subject matter advocates who bridge communication between clients and software development. What most people don’t realize is that a successful feature requires detailed and intimate knowledge of the problem you are trying to solve. Too often this is lost in translation when a non-practitioner receives input from a practitioner. We’ve seen it happen often internally. That’s why we believe in the power of onsite, dedicated staff. If we have a question, issue, concern, or clarification of a feature, we can walk to each other’s desk or type a quick query in the chat window. This allows us to stay in touch and aligned. In turn, this allows us to release features that meet specific needs and be able to explain what we were thinking.
This is a huge advantage to designing, developing and supporting our own proprietary software. Are you ready to Benefit From Our Experience®?
